StandardHash today announced the appointment of Sophia Zhou as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Zhou brings over 14 years of experience in large-scale software development, system architecture, and mining hardware productization from leading global technology and digital asset companies.
Prior to joining StandardHash, Zhou served as a technical expert at Alibaba Group and later as a product director at Bitmain, where she played a key role in the end-to-end development and delivery of multiple flagship mining products. These included the Antminer S19 Pro, S19 XP series (air-cooled and hydro-cooled), Antspace HK3 liquid-cooling containers, and other large-scale mining solutions.
At StandardHash, Zhou will lead the company’s technology strategy, focusing on platform architecture, system reliability, and operational scalability to support standardized and transparent mining service operations.
The founding team of StandardHash consists of industry veterans with extensive backgrounds across mining operations, infrastructure deployment, product development, and enterprise management. The team brings combined experience from both traditional technology enterprises and leading digital asset companies.
StandardHash is founded by Leon Lyu, an early participant in the Bitcoin mining industry who established one of the earliest online Bitcoin mining communities, CYBTC, in 2013. Leon has held senior leadership roles across the mining ecosystem, spanning mining operations, infrastructure construction, platform development, and mining pool management, including prior leadership experience at ANTPOOL.
The company’s operations are overseen by Tan Kok Ming, Chief Operating Officer, who brings over 20 years of experience in electronic equipment manufacturing, deployment, and global mining farm construction and operations. Tan has built and managed mining facilities across multiple regions worldwide since entering the Bitcoin mining sector in 2013.
With the addition of Zhou as CTO, StandardHash continues to strengthen its leadership team as it advances its focus on building robust digital infrastructure and operational service frameworks for the evolving Bitcoin mining landscape.
